Created by Michael Kiesling and released by Plan B Games, the Azul collection offers strategy games with beautiful abstract designs.

Based on Portuguese decorative tiles called ‘Azulejos’, players decorate their game board with coloured tiles to feature in the Royal Palace of Évora, based on the palace in Portugal. Strategically place tiles on your 5x5 grid and be the one to impress King Manuel I!

In the original Azul game, points are awarded for pattern-building and completing sets, while wasted tiles will make you lose points. Complete a set of 5 matching colours to earn extra points, and the player who scores the most points wins the game.

Designed for 2-4 players and described as "an ideal weeknight game, or a game night opener, or a family title”, Azul is a firm favourite among many households. Not only that, but the game won the Spiel des Jahres award in 2018, which is specifically awarded to family-style games.
