The award-winning Splendor, from Space Cowboys, is now available to play on Board Game Arena (BGA)!
Since the acquisition of BGA by Asmodee earlier this year, the iconic Modern Classic has been meticulously tailored by both the online gaming platform and Space Cowboys to provide the best online experience possible for both new and seasoned players.
Splendor has sold over one million copies worldwide since its original release in 2014. In the game, players take on the roles of Renaissance merchants competing to acquire mines, ships, and other goods via the trade of chips and cards. It has become a favourite game among casual and dedicated players alike due to its streamlined rules, replayability and its ability to scale in difficulty based on its players’ strategic level.
With BGA and Space Cowboys working together to ensure that fans of the game will have the same exceptional play experience online as at the table, it’s sure to be a hit. The BGA edition of Splendor showcases familiar characters and artwork from the tabletop set, with enhanced graphics to mimic the high print quality of its tokens and cards. Players will be able to enjoy the acclaimed mechanics just as they expect, as well as discover a whole new way to challenge players across the globe with the inclusion of worldwide virtual competitive play.

Splendor is the first major game from the Asmodee catalogue to appear on BGA since its acquisition but it will not be the last. Several highly anticipated titles are in development for the platform, to be released in the coming months.
To celebrate the launch of Splendor, a special tournament will be held on BGA from 5-23 May, with the four finalists in line to win free games from Space Cowboys and the ultimate victor a bespoke noble tile with their own portrait, drawn by the game’s illustrator, Pascal Quidault.
