7 Wonders Duel

Which one of you will develop the best civilisation through the likes of science or the military?

What is 7 Wonders Duel

Like its parent game (7 Wonders), 7 Wonders Duel requires you to acquire cards that provide resources to advance your military or scientific development - eventually forming a civilisation.

The main difference with this game is that it's solely for two players - perfect for a couple!

How to play 7 Wonders Duel

At the start of the game, you will acquire your cards from a display of face-down and face-up cards. Only covered cards can be taken. Timing is crucial at this point, as are bonus moves that allow players to take second cards immediately.

These cards can be built, discarded for coins, or constructed to construct a wonder. Each player will start with only four wonder cards, with each wonder having unique abilities. Only Seven wonders can be built in total, so one player will end up short.

As they are acquired, the cost of those resources increases for the opponent, representing the owner's dominance in this area.

Win your opponent by acquiring the military card and advancing it towards your opponent's capital. Once you have reached their capital, you win. Another way to win is by acquiring six of seven scientific symbols and achieving scientific dominance. If none of these scenarios occurs, then those with the most points at the end acquired from resources and wonders win the game.

The Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle Earth

Determine the fate of Middle-Earth by playing as either the Fellowship or Sauron

What is The Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle Earth

The Fellowship must reunite and prepare for battle as darkness rises from Mordor and The Eye turns to Middle-Earth.

Which one of you will defend the free races and destroy the ring, and which one will play as Auron and pursue Frodo and Sam whilst developing hordes to the gates of the enemy cities? Fate is in your hands in this intense game for Lord of the Ring lovers.

How to play The Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle Earth

In each chapter, players take cards from a pile of face-down and face-up cards. Only cards not covered can be taken.

From there, players can either choose to play the card, pay its cost, and place it in another area, obtaining its benefit, or discard the card to take as many coins from the reserve as the current chapter.

Landmark tiles can also be taken from the faceup tiles. By paying their cost and placing them in their area, players can place a fortress pawn in the corresponding region of the central board and benefit from other effects.

There are different ways to win, including obtaining victory conditions. For the fellowship, Froddo and Sam must destroy the ring, and for Sauro, the ring must be seized.

Another way to win is for players to gather six race symbols on their green cards. This gives them the support of the races of Middle-Earth, and they immediately win the game.

If players are present in all seven regions (with a Fortress and/or at least 1 Unit), they dominate Middle-earth and immediately win the game.

Those with the most Middle Earth regions win if none of these conditions are met.

Patchwork

Compete to become the button master by piecing together a quilt and leaving no holes.

What is Patchwork

In Patchwork, two players compete to build the most aesthetically pleasing (and high-scoring) patchwork on a personal 9x9 board.

All patches are laid out randomly in a circle, with a clockwise marker of the 2-1 patch. Each player then takes five buttons.

How to play Patchwork

On your turn, players can purchase one of the three patches standing clockwise from the spool or passes. To buy these patches, you pay the cost using the buttons on the patch and then add them to your board.

On each turn, a player either purchases one of the three patches standing clockwise of the spool or passes. To purchase a patch, you pay the cost using the buttons shown on the patch. You're free to place the patch anywhere on your board that doesn't overlap other patches, but you probably want to fit things together as tightly as possible.

If your time token is behind or on top of the other player's time token, you take another turn; otherwise, the opponent goes. Instead of purchasing a patch, you can choose to pass; to do this, you move your time token to the space immediately in front of the opponent's time token, then take one button from the bank for each space you moved.

In addition to button and time costs, each patch features 0-3 buttons. When the time token passes these buttons, you earn button income plus the number of buttons depicted on your game board.

The first person to fill their board earns seven additional points.

Once you’re both back in the centre, each player scores one point per button. With two points being lost per empty square on your board - the player with the most points at the end wins.

Fight for the Galactic Empire or join the Rebel Alliance in this Star Wars-themed card battle!

What is Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game

In Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game, two players take on the roles of either the Galactic Empire or the Rebel Alliance, each with their deck of cards and unique abilities.

The goal is to gain control of the galaxy by defeating your opponent's forces while upgrading your deck with powerful new cards that reflect iconic Star Wars characters and ships.

The game involves strategic deck-building, tactical play, and an epic battle for dominance in a galaxy far, far away.

How to play Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game

Jaipur

Outsmart your opponent in the bustling markets of India and become the Maharaja's trader!

What is Jaipur

Jaipur is a fast-paced, two-player card game about trading goods in India's markets. Each player plays the role of a trader, aiming to sell valuable goods like spices, textiles, and gems to gain the favour of the Maharaja.

The game combines strategy, timing, and psychology. Players must decide when to sell their goods when to cut good losses, and when to outsmart their opponents for maximum profit.

How to play Jaipur

Each round of Jaipur involves trading goods and deciding when to sell merchandise for the highest price. Players must also be mindful of the unique "monkey" cards that can disrupt trade or hinder sales.

The rounds are won by the trader who can earn the most profit in each session, and after multiple rounds, the player with the most points wins and special bonuses is declared the ultimate trader.

While Jaipur can be learned quickly, the strategic decisions of when to sell, how to outbid your opponent, and when to secure the best deals make it both challenging and exciting.

Fungi

Work together to grow a garden of mushrooms or compete to harvest the most bountiful crop in this charming, nature-themed card game!

What is Fungi

Fungi is a cooperative yet competitive game where players work together to cultivate a beautiful mushroom garden in a lush forest.

As players collect mushrooms, they’ll earn points based on the types of mushrooms and their combinations, making it a game of careful planning and strategy.

While you share a common goal of growing mushrooms, your decisions will also influence how much you benefit from your opponent, making it a delicate balance of cooperation and competition.

How to play Fungi

In Fungi, players draw cards and place them in their garden. They can cultivate different types of mushrooms or block their opponent’s access to key resources.

Each type of mushroom card has different effects, and players must manage their hand of cards to maximise the potential of their garden.

Points are scored based on the types of mushrooms collected, and players who harvest the best combinations will earn the most points. The game has an element of unpredictability, as players can sometimes cooperate to increase their chances of success, but ultimately only one can win.
